Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2006 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Council of the Town of Clifton Forge, Virginia, hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda permits, in the Old Circuit Courtroom, 547 Main Street, Second Floor, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422, to hear public comment on the following:
Proposed abandonment of a portion of an unopened alley between Lots 16, 20, 21, and 22 on the Map of Old Clifton Forge, of record in the Circuit Court for Alleghany County as Plat Book 1, page 93. The alley is adjacent to 1113 Jefferson Avenue, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
Further information on the proposed rezoning may be reviewed in the Town Department of Community Development, 547 Main Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.
