Enjoy this lovely exhibit booklet–twenty two pages of photos and descriptions that showcase the twenty quilts that Kaye created for her Women in History Series. From Martha Washington to Lucille Ball to Helen Keller to Amelia Earhart, these talented women impacted history in a significant way. Sixteen art pieces accompany the quilts, several with autographs and photos of the women they honor.
Also included in the exhibit booklet are photos of twenty antique quilts that are part of Kaye’s collection. All are hand pieced and hand quilted in the 1800’s. Photos and descriptions present a time when women stitched their quilts with what they had available to keep their families warm and to express themselves as well.
All quilts and art will be auctioned on March 9 with a live and online auction with proceeds going to The Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge, Virginia where the exhibit now lives.
